​TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS


Oral Presentation: An Oral Presentation is an opportunity to share research findings, theoretical or practical recommendations, lessons learned, and educational best practices. Presenters area allotted with a 15 - 20 minute presentation time, followed by a 5-minute question and answer time. Oral Presentations will be scheduled in thematic clusters.

Poster Sessions: Poster presentations convey information quickly and effectively, without the formality of oral presentations. Poster sessions allow the presenter to enjoy more one-to-one communication with conference participants.

Please note that audio-visual equipment cannot be used and there are no printing facilities at the conference venue. Posters may be displayed for longer than the specified time, but presenters should be with their posters during the designated poster presentation session.

Absentee Presenters: For those that are unable to join us at 21CEF@HARVARD, we offer you the opportunity to present your work via a narrated presentation, which can be uploaded to our website prior to the conference. Your abstract will be printed in the Conference Program Book and your paper will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Conference registration materials (Certificate of Participation, official receipt, Conference Program Book, and tote bag) will be sent by post following the conference.



​​PRESENTATION PROPOSAL SUBMISSION


**Please do not email your abstract or full-paper to the 21st Century Academic Forum. We ask you to submit your abstract proposals in English through our Online Submission System until the final deadline of SEPTEMBER 30, 2018.

IMPORTANT: The Conference Program Committee reviews abstract proposals on a rolling basis and authors will typically receive a decision within two weeks of his/her submission. Oral Presentation slots are limited and will be scheduled on a first-come, first served basis.

Note: There are two different Online Submission Forms, one for Presenters and the other for Non-Presenters (Listeners). Please use the appropriate Submission Form. Both forms can be found on the navigation menu on the left margin, as well as the Conferences and Submissions page on our website. Non-Presenters who are ready to apply now can click HERE to go directly to the Non-Presenter (Listener) Online Submission Form.



​TOPIC TRACKS

Consistent with the mission of the 21st Century Academic Forum, we are calling for the submission of Oral, Poster, and Absentee presentation proposals related to but not limited to the topic tracks listed below. Conference organizers encourage research-based AND practiced-based presentations. 21CEF@HARVARD participants are eager to learn of innovative practices they can utilize in their own teaching and learning space.

OPTION ONE: EDITED BOOK - CAMBRIDGE SCHOLARS PUBLISHING

Based on the 21CEF@HARVARD conference theme, we are calling for chapters for an edited book entitled "Education 2030: Preparing students for an uncertain future" that will be edited and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing.  The 21st Century Academic Forum’s publishing team will coordinate with authors in producing in producing a volume that is both coherent and self-sufficient and presentable as a book rather than a mere collection (such as conference proceedings with no introduction or sections).

All papers that meet the 21st Century Academic Forum’s Conference Proceedings guidelines will be published in our online Conference Proceedings (ISSN: 2330-1236). The Conference Proceedings will be published on APRIL 8, 2021 The editors of our peer-reviewed Journal of 21st Century Education (ISSN: 2330-1244) select the best papers from the Conference Proceedings to appear in special thematic issues of the journal.
